Who we Are

Jeff - Owner | Operator
Jeff learned the trade early in his family’s landscaping business and later spent over a decade working in civil construction across Western Canada. He approaches projects with a practical mindset shaped by years in the field. When he’s not on a machine, he’s usually building something in the garage that he’s designed and fabricated himself.

Wiggy - Owner | Operations
Wiggy manages the operations side of Timberstone. With a background in design and business, she supports project management, clear communication, and the systems that keep everything running smoothly. Outside of work, she’s usually talking Jeff into another home reno project or heading out to explore the mountains and ride trails.

Paisley - Chief Digging Officer
Paisley takes the CDO roll at Timberstone very seriously. She’s persistent, highly motivated, and has never accepted “no” as a final answer. She declined our standard wage in favour of treats, belly rubs, and the occasional pup cup from Starbucks. You’ll usually find her dropping a ball at your feet or acting like she hasn’t been fed in weeks.

Retaining wall costs vary depending on wall height, length, site access, drainage requirements, soil conditions, engineering requirements, and material selection. Every property is different, so we provide site-specific estimates based on the scope of work. During our site visit, we'll assess the existing conditions and discuss the best options for your project and budget.
Engineering requirements depend on factors such as wall height, slope conditions, loads above the wall, local regulations, and site-specific conditions. Retaining walls located on steep slopes, supporting driveways, or built near structures often require engineering. We can help determine what is required and coordinate with qualified engineers when needed.
Yes. Proper drainage is one of the most important components of a retaining wall. Without adequate drainage, water pressure can build up behind the wall and lead to movement, cracking, or failure. Every retaining wall we build is designed with drainage in mind to help protect the structure for years to come.
Yes. We regularly replace aging timber retaining walls with modern concrete retaining wall systems. Many older walls were constructed using railroad ties treated with creosote, which is classified as a special waste and requires disposal at approved facilities. This can increase disposal costs compared to standard demolition materials. During our site assessment, we'll identify any disposal requirements and include them in your estimate so there are no surprises.
Yes. Retaining walls are commonly used to stabilize slopes, manage grade changes, and create usable outdoor space. Steep slope projects often require additional planning, drainage considerations, engineering, or municipal approvals depending on the site conditions. We can help determine what is required for your property.
Excavation costs depend on site access, soil conditions, equipment requirements, disposal needs, project size, and overall complexity. Because every project is different, we provide custom estimates based on the specific work required rather than using a one-size-fits-all pricing model.
Site preparation can include vegetation clearing, demolition, excavation, grading, soil removal, compaction, drainage installation, and preparing a stable base for construction. The exact scope depends on the project and the existing site conditions. Proper site preparation is critical to the long-term success of any construction project.
The best drainage solution depends on what is causing the problem. Common solutions include regrading, catch basins, French drains, swales, drainage pipe systems, and other water management improvements. We assess each property individually to identify the source of the issue and recommend the most effective solution.
We coordinate utility locates before excavation and can help guide clients through permit and engineering requirements when needed. Permit requirements vary depending on the project, municipality, and site conditions. We will let you know early in the process if additional approvals may be required.
We provide retaining wall construction, excavation, drainage solutions, grading, site preparation, and hardscaping services throughout Abbotsford, Chilliwack, Mission, Langley, Aldergrove, and surrounding Fraser Valley communities. If you're unsure whether we service your area, feel free to contact us and we'll be happy to discuss your project.
